OBITUARY: Ross E. Bricker

Ross E. Bricker, 75, of Greencastle, died at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born July 26, 1936, in Clear Spring, Md., he was a son of the late Ray F. and Susan Mills Bricker.

Mr. Bricker was a machinist, and was last employed at PME Machine Co. of Greencastle.  He retired in 2000.

He attended Macedonia United Brethren Church.

Ross enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara V. “Dolly” Mayhugh Bricker, whom he married June 1, 1960; three sons, Ross E. Bricker Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Kermit R. Elliott of Greencastle and Kevin L. Bricker of Utah; a daughter, Kris A. Nichols of Chambersburg; three grandsons, two step grandsons, one step granddaughter, three great granddaughters, one great grandson; and a sister, Dorothy Bard of Chambersburg.

Ross was preceded in death by siblings, Richard “Dick” Bricker and Gladys Musselman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5 at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Reverend Gayle L. Ruble Sr. officiating.

Burial will be at Brown’s Mill Cemetery, Kauffman.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
