Antrim employees given small raises

Fulltime hourly employees of Antrim Township were granted an average one percent pay raise for 2012, following an executive session held by township supervisors Jan. 31. A few employees were given merit bonuses. Three supervisors, Pat Heraty, John Alleman and Fred Young III, attended the worksession and reviewed evaluations and recommendations of Antrim administrator Brad Graham.

The discussion took one-and a half hours. Though the board had budgeted for a three percent raise, they had earlier indicated they did not want to go that high.

“The supervisors were attempting to control costs and be mindful of the economy,” said Graham.

The excess funds do not yet have a specific purpose, he added.

Graham’s own salary will be determined at a later date.
