With one month to go in the 2011 annual campaign, the United Way of Franklin County has raised $667,599.30 or 89 percent of its $750,000 goal. The campaign will end solicitation on Feb. 14, a day to celebrate Franklin county’s large heart!

The campaign team continues to work to insure success. Over 100 businesses participated so far this year with several new companies and new givers signing on. Chairperson Pam Anderson stated, “The final days of the campaign are usually the hardest. Most people have made their charitable contributions by the end of the year. However, we are down to the final push, and this is when we see our community step up. So if you aren’t one of the more than 3,000 people in our community who have supported the 2011–2012 campaign, please consider making your gift now. It’s not just for those in need. It’s to make our community a better place to live for tomorrow.”

The United Way of Franklin County works together with the community to create a brighter future for its people by focusing on human service needs. More than 25 service organizations are supported by the United Way.
