OBITUARY: Joseph H. Dulebohn

Joseph H. Dulebohn, age 81, of 13945 Locust Level Road, Greencastle, passed away at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born Oct. 14, 1930 in Welsh Run, he was the son of the late Isaac and Carrie (Hege) Dulebohn.

Joe was a lifelong farmer.

He married Betty Sue (Forsyth) Dulebohn July 21, 1962 in Hagerstown, Md.

He was a lifelong member of the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church of Fairview, Md., where he served on the church council.

He also served as a director of the Farmer's Union Co-Op of Greencastle.

Joe attended the Tuscarora Senior Citizen Center of Mercersburg.

He enjoyed attending tractor and horse pulls.

Surviving family, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Tammy J. Springer, Mercersburg and Amy N. Dulebohn, Greencastle; one granddaughter, Josie A.J. Dulebohn, Greencastle, who was the joy of her grandfather's final years; two sisters, Jane Sogegian, Florida and Mary Joyce Shatzer, Middletown, Md.; three brothers, George Dulebohn, New York, John Dulebohn, Chambersburg and Tom Dulebohn, Delaware.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 from the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in Fairview, with Pastor Allen Reed officiating.

Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30 at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, C/O Don Spickler, 9731 Lock Tender Ln., Williamsport, Md. 21795.
