Colonial Fair and Muster set Sept. 10 and 11

The seventh Annual Colonial Fair and Muster will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Conococheague Institute Museum and Library, 12995 Bain Road. There will be re-enactments, pack train, military and native American encampments, Ferguson rifle and Lewis & Clark air rifle, music by Randy Heisley-Cato and a fleece to shawl demo on Saturday. There will be a flax processing demo both days. There is a new local archaeological display. The French and Indian seminar will be on the McGlashan narrative. Hands-on childrens activities will be happening throughout the grounds, along with games, lacrosse and stories. There will be Mikie’s Ice Cream and food. There is a $5 per car parking fee.
