Conococheague Archers to hold 36th cancer memorial shoot

The Conococheague Archers will hold their 36th annual Cancer Memorial Shoot May 28 to 30 at the Greencastle Sportsmans Club, 3260 Sportsmans Road, Greencastle.

All proceeds benefit Summit Cancer and Hematology Services and Greencastle Health Services, both affiliates of Summit Health, for the treatment and detection of cancer in the local area.

The schedule for May 28 - 30 is as follows: Saturday registration, 3-D 30 Target Animal Shoot -   8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Field Round Shoot - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Sunday registration, 3-D 30 Target Animal Shoot - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hunter Round Shoot - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Monday registration,         “900” Round Shoot - 7 to 9 a.m.     

An auction and award ceremony will also be held at the conclusion of the shoot. Free camping is available.

Awards will be presented for individuals and teams. Each round of archery is $10 per adult, $5 for ages 11-17 and free for children under 10.

Over the last 36 years, the Conococheague Archers have raised over $192,000 to help fight cancer.  Since 1991, over $137,000 has been donated to Summit Health affiliates to enhance the cancer treatment and diagnostic services available in the community.
