Joy El Ministries invites senior citizens age 55 and over to take part in a new event created just for them. On Tuesday, May 17, the new Seniors’ Spring Sing event kicks off at 10 a.m. with a coffee bar and fellowship time in Joy El’s new worship center immediately followed by an old fashioned hymn sing. Participants will enjoy singing along with some of their long-time favorites and harmonizing with old friends and new. Following the hymn sing, Joy El offers a brief tour of Camp Joy El and then will provide a luncheon by new Joy El chef, Patrick Sims. After the luncheon, The Joy Chorale, a seniors’ choir led by director Doris Ortman, will provide a concert. This event is open to anyone age 55 and over. Those interested do not need to be a participant with Joy El’s programs to enjoy the day. The cost for this event is $7.50.
