Harrison Scott, a seventh-grade student at Greencastle-Antrim Middle School, was the only student from Franklin County to qualify for the Championship Round of the Central PA Spelling Bee. That contest takes place Saturday, Feb. 26 at WITF in Harrisburg. He is one of 35 middle schoolers competing in the finals. Approximately 150 central Pennsylvania students competed in the January semifinal round. It was a written test of 100 words. The final round is an oral spelling bee, with the winner advancing to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. May 29 to June 4.
