The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce has announced that the energy program for electricity is now available to residential businesses who are members of the chamber.

“After tremendous success in bringing savings to our commercial businesses, we are pleased that Chamber Choice Service Corporation and ON Demand Energy Solutions have added this component to their energy program,” said Joel Fridgen, executive director. “I am confident this program will result in savings compared to the new residential rate that took effect,” added Fridgen.

Effective Jan. 1 Allegheny Energy has increased its residential rates.  The power it secured on the wholesale market set the new residential rates as part of generation deregulation.  Allegheny Energy does not make money on power generation.  It is focused on distribution (poles and lines) and is overseen by the PA PUC.

The variable and fixed programs for commercial meters are still available to chamber members.

Contact the chamber for additional information about the residential or commercial meter programs or to sign up at 717-597-4610 or info@greencastlepachamber.org

An informational meeting will be held Feb. 16 on all three energy programs at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the Grove Meeting Room of the chamber. Advance registration is appreciated.
