Each year the Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation sponsors the “Ambassador Scholarship” for a student graduating from Greencastle-Antrim High School.  The Scholarship is for $10,000 broken down into an annual scholarship of $2500 for four years. The goal of this scholarship program is to build future leaders who are committed to service and their community.  Applications can be picked up at the guidance counselor office at the high school.  The deadline for application submission is March 7.

The “John and Cora Grove Scholarships” for business and the arts (each award is $750) are also available for a Greencastle-Antrim graduating senior.  Applications are available at the guidance counselor office at the high school.  The deadline for submission is March 7.

This year the foundation also has a new endowed scholarship called “Get a Ride for Doing it Right”.  This scholarship was set up in 2010 and is a memorial established by Mary Pat Kulina for her husband, Stephen, who passed away in November 2009 and her father, James William Hane, who passed away in June of 2009.  The scholarship is intended to continue their legacy as a lasting remembrance of how each day should be valued, embraced and lived to the fullest. The SPK/JWH Endowed Scholarship is an opportunity to reward those who are doing it right, have a passion for learning and recognize the true wealth to be obtained by living life to its fullest.  The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Greencastle-Antrim High School, as well as a James Buchanan graduating senior in 2011.  Applications can be picked up at the Career and Technology Center Counseling Office as well from the Greencastle-Antrim and James Buchanan guidance counselors. Completed applications for this scholarship must be received by March 28.

Scholarship recipients will be notified and receive recognition at the annual dinner and fundraiser of the Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation May 12 at Green Grove Gardens.
