Miller named district chairman

Dalton E. Paul, Immediate Past District Governor of Lions District 14-T, presented a $400 check to Mark Barbernitz, Mason-Dixon Council BSA Scout Executive (left) and Darrell Miller, Lions District 14-T Youth Activities Project Chairman, to go towards dining hall renovation at Camp Sinoquipe.

The Tuscarora District of the Mason Dixon Boy Scout Council has selected Darrell Miller to serve as Tuscarora District Chairman.

Miller resides in Greencastle with his wife Suanne. The Millers have three grown children: two daughters, Lindee and Alisa; and an Eagle Scout son, Lance.

In addition to an extensive volunteer background in Scouting and other civic organizations, Miller is the president and fiscal officer of Shippensburg University Student Services, Inc. He is active in his church as a Sunday School teacher and as president of church council. He has served with distinction in numerous positions of leadership in the Greencastle Lions Club and in Lions International on the district and regional level.

Miller’s Scouting experience includes: Cub Scout Pack 287 Den Leader - five years Cub Scout; Den Leader Award, Webelos Den Leader Award; Boy Scouts of America Training Award Boy Scout; Troop 99 - Asst. Committee Chair - 2003-2006; Committee Chair-2007-2010; Wood Badge NE-IV-152-20; Order of the Arrow Member.

Miller will be stepping down from the Troop 99 and Crew 99 Committee chairman positions.
