The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce has unveiled the 2010 Special Edition Ornament, Jerome King Playground. This is the 19th ornament in the collection which depicts an event or place significant to the history of the Greencastle-Antrim community.

Since 1923, a favored place for Greencastle-Antrim residents has been the playground on North Carlisle Street.  The original five acre tract of land was a gift from David D. King, former Greencastle “old boy”, to the people of the community in memory of his brother Jerome.  The Jerome King Playground Association was formed and its Board of Directors continues to use donations to maintain and enhance the fifteen acre site.  Over the past 87 years, thousands of people of all ages have enjoyed music; recreational activities; picnics; and reunions.

The price for each ornament is $18 plus tax.  Ornaments from each of the previous years are also available. In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Heritage Christmas the complete set of all 19 ornaments is available for $325 plus tax.

Order forms are available at the Chamber, 217 E. Baltimore St., and at all financial institutions in Greencastle-Antrim.  Call the Chamber of Commerce at 597-4610 or you can email us at info@greencastlepachamber.org for additional information and requests.  Preordering the 2010 ornament and complete ornament set is recommended for arrival during the first week of December.
