Are you ready for some Blue Devil football?

High school football returns to Kaley Field Friday night, Sept. 3, and in a big way as the Chambersburg Trojans come to town to take on the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils for the first gridiron meeting ever between the two schools.

The game between Mid-Penn Conference foes from different divisions is sure to generate a lot of interest. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. The ticket gates will open at 6 p.m.

Game policies

The G-A School District has set some policies for the 2010 season. There will be no reserving of seats permitted prior to any athletic event within Kaley Field. Any items placed on the bleachers prior to games will be discarded.

Admission will charged for the duration of varsity events. Anyone leaving the field after being admitted to a game will be charged for re-entry.

 Ticket gates will open at 6 p.m. for all varsity football games and 45 minutes prior to the start of all other events.

Admission fees

Admission fees for the 2010-2011 school year have been set as follows: high school events — Adults $5; Students and non-resident senior citizens, $2; middle school events — Adults $3; Students and non-resident senior citizens, $2.

Season passes are available in the main office of the high school or at ticket gates.

Radio, internet coverage

The Blue Devil football games will get plenty of play on the airwaves and in cyberspace this season.

FM TALK 103.7 has already announced a 10-game schedule of broadcasts, including six G-A games. That schedule begins with Friday’s game on Kaley Field with Chambersburg. A pregame show will air 15 minutes prior to kickoff.

Six Greencastle-Antrim High School football games will be transmitted on-line this season on the F & M Trust Sports Network, including Friday’s date with Chambersburg. There will be a link to the transmissions at and aired through Audio Sports On Line

The games are part of an 11-game local football schedule that will be transmitted on-line this fall.

The schedule of G-AHS games is as follows:

Friday, Sept. 3, Chambersburg at G-A, 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 17, G-A at Susquehanna Township, 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 8, Gettysburg at G-A, 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 22, Northern at G-A, 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 29, G-A at Shippensburg, 7 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 5, Big Spring at G-A, 7:30 p.m.

This winter 11 G-AHS basketball games will be heard on-line.
