Antrim Township officials have ended the burn ban that had been in effect for about half the summer. On Aug. 24 the board of township supervisors lifted the burning ban that first was instituted July 14 because of extremely dry conditions. Recent rains and cooler temperatures have helped the situation. The supervisors would like to thank residents for their cooperation during the ban and urge that necessary precautions be taken when burning outside.
