Gallery 7: Regional artists to display work during OHW

Gallery 7, 107 E. Baltimore St., Greencastle, will open during the Greencastle-Antrim Old Home Week celebration, Aug. 1 - 7.  The gallery will be open each day from noon - 4 p.m. with extended hours on Aug. 6, First Friday, until 7 p.m.  The gallery is a cooperative venture by members of the Greencastle Area Arts Council.  

Paintings, photographs, prints, hand-wovens, pottery and shaker boxes created by area artists will be for sale at the gallery, located directly across the street from the landmark Antrim House Restaurant in downtown Greencastle.  

Members of the group include Eliane Ambrose, Ed and Pat Beard, Doris Burdick, Ruth Jordan, John Meek, Alex Miller, Cassie Schook, Lee Scott, Laura Lewis Shindle, John Gamble and Kristin Fay-Taylor of Greencastle and Janine Davis of Moondog Pottery in Welsh Run.  

Gallery 7 is a non-profit venture sponsored by the Greencastle Area Arts Council, which has been “planting the seeds for creative growth” for more than a quarter of a century.  The space for Gallery 7 has been donated by Charles Strausbaugh,CPA.
