GAFCWA short by one
Shy of a quorum, the Greencastle Area Franklin County Water Authority listened to reports Monday night, but was unable to take any action. Gregory Rock and Robert Miller only listened to updates from manager Kenneth Womack and solicitor Jan Sulcove, due to the absence of Thomas Green. The five-member board currently has two vacancies so requires full attendance of the trio to conduct business.
Sulcove notified them that he had filed a petition Oct. 9 for court approval of the purchase of Well No. 4 from the Greencastle-Antrim School District and was waiting to learn of the hearing date.
He also said the authority had done everything expected of it and that the water main service extension agreement with Heritage Estates West could be voted on in November, as both sides were in alliance on the details.
GAFCWA then met in executive session to discuss acquisition of real estate.
