Patricia Ann (Dietz) Kotmair, 48, of Greencastle, and formerly of Shirleysburg and Westminster, Md., died at 9:43 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md., following a long illness.

Born Aug. 30, 1960 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of Dorothy A. (Roach) Dietz Tebo of Delaware and the late John L. Dietz. She lived her early life in the Baltimore and Westminster areas.

Mrs. Kotmair graduated from Westminster High School with the Class of 1978. 

She and her husband of over 30 years, John B. Kotmair III, were married Nov. 10, 1978 in Westminster. They have lived at their present residence for the past three years.

She was currently employed by First Data, Hagerstown. She was a homemaker most of her life, including devoting several years to home schooling her children.

Mrs. Kotmair enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two sons, John B. Kotmair IV of Orbisonia and Erik L. Kotmair of Dry Run; four grandchildren; her step mother, Lena Dietz of Frederick, Md.; two sisters, Nancy Eicholtz of Delmar, Md. and Barbara Conaway of Mount Airy, Md.; one step sister, Sharon Finecey of Stevensville, Md.; one step brother, Donald Tebo Jr. of Baltimore; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 in King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg, with Rev. Bruce Miller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude's Cancer Research Center, C/O St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
