G-A girls capture hoops title in dramatic fashion

There was lots to celebrate after the game where the Blue Devils won the division championship by a 50-48 score over Boiling Springs.

The Blue Devils won on a shot with 10 seconds remaining to win the Mid-Penn Conference Colonial Division title over Boiling Springs, 50-48, Thursday on the G-A floor.

An extremely competitive game throughout, the Devils tied the score with under a minute to play on a Jenay Faulkner bucket. Faulkner then blocked a shot at the Boiling Springs end and grabbed the ball. Faulkner sent a pass up the floor to a driving Morgan Wagaman, who deposited the layup for a G-A lead. Boiling missed on a final desperation shot.

The win avenged G-A's only loss of the season. Both representatives of the Colonial Division are on their way to the district playoffs.
