Josh Leidig, employed by GW Electric, was assigned the time-consuming task of taking down the Christmas decorations in Center Square.
He worked all day Tuesday removing strand by strand of white lights, the string that encircled the square, and the snowflakes at the corners.
Residents were able to enjoy the festive scene longer than usual, as GW had a busy month on other jobs.
The tree was removed early Wednesday, before the snow began falling.
