On Sunday, Oct. 5, about 128 full-sized and 20 smaller quilts were displayed and dedicated at the 10:45 a.m. service at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greencastle.
The quilts were made throughout the year by a group of ladies who gather every Wednesday at church. They are members as well as workers from outside the church.
The larger quilts, along with health kids and school kits, are being forwarded to Lutheran World Relief where they will be sent where needed around the world.
Last year’s quilts ended up as part of a 30,000 quilt shipment to the Philippines after a major typhoon hit there. The 20 child quilts will go to local families in need.
