Fundraiser breakfast, dinners plentiful Saturday
Pancake breakfast
STATE LINE — The State Line Ruritan will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the State Line Community Park Building, 15841 Park Drive.
The all-you-can-eat menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, baked French toast and sausage.
The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 4 to 12. Under 4 are free.

Spaghetti dinner
A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Greencastle Church of the Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle St.
The event will benefit the Shenberger family. Dean Shenbreger was injured in a June 2012 motorcycle accident. Proceeds will assist in his recovery.
The cost is by donation.
Chili cook-off
STATE LINE — Trinity United Church of Christ, 29 East Ave., will hold its annual Chili Cook-Off from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.
Anyone can make chili for the event with a prize awarded to the winner. The entrance fee is $10 for each chili entry. Entry forms can be picked up at the church.
The cost for five choices of chili is $5. A potato bar and apple dumplings will be available for sale.

Pot pie supper
FORT LOUDON — Trinity United Church of Christ will hold a beef, ham and chicken pot pie supper from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 in the Fort Loudon Community Center.
Adult meals are $8. Children ages 7 to 12 are $5.50. Children under age 7 eat free. Meals can be eaten at the center by buffet style or carry-outs are available.
The menu includes pepper slaw, applesauce, pickles, cake, coffee and punch.
