FAITH RAISERS: Numerous Holy Week services scheduled
Good Friday service
A Good Friday service will be held form noon to 3 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Grace Bible Church, 2327 Hoffman Road.
Seven local pastors will speak on "The Glories of the Cross". The pastors are Sam Martz, Ben Fisler, Rick Kauffman, Bruce Dick, Matt Robinson, Mervil Stambaugh and Herman Fisler.
Special music will be provided in each segment of the program.
Good Friday cantata
HAGERSTOWN, Md. — A Good Friday cantata, “Return to Me”, will be presented at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., at 7 p.m. Friday, March 29.
The choral work by York and Davis will present the Stations of the Cross via musical and visual arts.
The public is invited.
Good Friday breakfast
CHAMBERSBURG — The annual commemorative YMCA Good Friday Breakfast program will be hosted by and held at the Unity in Christ Church, located in the former Lighthouse Restaurant, 4301 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, March 29. Breakfast will be buffet style featuring scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, baked oatmeal, coffee or tea, and juice. There will be two seatings for breakfast one at 6:15 a.m. and a second following the Good Friday Program at 8 a.m.
Dramatic readings, directed by the Rev. Dr. Dianne Salter, will be interspersed with musical selections presented by a Community Chorus and directed by Marcel Coates, Music Director at Unity in Christ Church. Congregational singing will be included.
The breakfast buffet will be available starting at 6:15 a.m. Drama and song will begin at 7 a.m. Tickets for the 6:15 a.m. or 8 a.m. breakfast may be purchased at the YMCA for $6.50.

Good Friday and Easter services
CHAMBERSBURG — The United Churches of the Chambersburg Area will present special services for the Chambersburg and Franklin County community on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, March 29 and 31, 2013.
On Good Friday, March 29, from noon to 3 p.m., area pastors and musicians will present “The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ from the Cross” in 25-minute segments at Central Presbyterian Church on the Square in Chambersburg. Worshippers are welcome to come and go at any time during the three-hour service. The Rev. Guy Camp is coordinating the service.
On Easter Sunday, March 31, the traditional Community Easter Sunrise Service will be held at John Wesley AME Zion Church, 155 West Catherine Street in Chambersburg. The speaker will be the Rev. Rosanna Johnson, Pastor of Kingdom Life Empowerment Center Church. The Rev. Renata M. Harper, Associate Pastor of John Wesley AME Zion Church, will be the Worship Leader. Music will be provided by a Community Choir under the direction of Brother Marcel Coates. The service is being coordinated by the Rev. Dr. Lois Waters, Pastor of Unity in Christ Church.
The service will begin at 6:30 am. Refreshments will be served after the service.
Sunrise and Easter services
MERCERSBURG — Sunrise and Easter services will be held Sunday, March 31, at Kasiesville Bible Church, 12639 Fort Loudon Road.
Sunrise Service will be held at 7:30 a.m. and Easter Service at 9:30 a.m.
Pastor Ben Fisler will be delivering the messages at both services. There will be breakfast following the Sunrise Service.
