Besore book club welcomes new participants
Looking for a night out with a friendly, interesting group? They are looking for you too. The Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library Book Club, founded in 1999, is always open to all men and women who enjoy reading and sharing their ideas.
The Besore Book Club meets the second Tuesday of every month, with 10 to 13 regular participants. Diverse books are discussed. The club likes to think that no genre should be left unturned.
No registration is required. Just show up. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 7:45 p.m. The next meeting will be held Feb. 12, featuring the book How the Irish Saved Civilization by Thomas Cahill. Don't miss out on this fascinating discussion of how the Irish preserved and shaped both knowledge and culture in the shadows of the Dark Ages.
