Turkey trot set Thursday morning in Greencastle

The ninth annual Greencastle-Antrim Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and 1K Kids’ Race, hosted by the Greencastle-Antrim High School cross country teams, will be held Thursday, Nov. 22 beginning at the high school campus and following nearby town streets. The kids’ race for children 9 and under is set for 8:30 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 9 a.m.

The event will also be a collection point for canned food and sneakers to benefit those in need.

Turkeys and trophies will be given to the overall male and female champions. Awards and turkeys will be given to the top three finishers in each age group.

The 5K cost is $30. The 1K registration is $10. Medals will be awarded at the finish. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.
