The Waynesboro GED program will begin a new session of classes Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at the Waynesboro Area Middle School. The classes will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.  All PA residents who do not hold a standard high school diploma and are not currently enrolled in an accredited high school are encouraged to take part in these free classes.

The current version of the GED test will be replaced Jan. 2, 2014. Those who have taken the current test but have not passed all five parts have until the end of 2013 to pass or they will need to start over again in 2014 with the new test to receive their high school credential.

The GED test is given once a month at the middle school. The fee for the entire GED test is $75 or $20 for each individual section of the five part test.
