The 29th annual Waynesboro Hospital Health Fair will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School.

The health fair, presented by Waynesboro Hospital, an affiliate of Summit Health, and Capital BlueCross, is open to the public.

According to Ken Shur, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Waynesboro Hospital, the health fair will continue to offer free health screenings, as it has done in past years.

“We'll have screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar, bone density, asthma, blood pressure, vision, and more,” Shur noted.

“Our hospital team is pleased to be able to provide important free health screenings at this event for so many families,” Shur added. “The economy has been challenging, and these free health screenings can save you hundreds of dollars.”

The Waynesboro Hospital Health Fair also offers healthy tips and kids' activities.

“Throughout the fair, attendees will find tips on heart health, getting a better night's sleep, managing diabetes, weight loss, and a lot more,” Shur said. “We'll also have fun activities for kids including the moon bounce and a scavenger hunt. “

Adults over the age of 18 who plan on having their blood tested should not eat for 12 hours prior to their screening. For more information, visit www.SummitHealth.org or call (717) 267-7136.
