Summit Health to change names of physican offices
Summit Health has announced that many of its physician practices, operated by Summit Physician Services, will be renamed in an effort to strengthen awareness of Summit Health services available throughout the area.
According to Summit Health's Vice President for Physician Practices Niki Showe, community members will begin seeing changes soon. “We will be starting to change door signs, directional signs, and stationary in mid-May,” Showe said. “The name changes will be official on July 1.”
Below is a list of the physician practices whose names will be changing. All other Summit Health physician practice names will remain the same.
• Cumberland Valley Family Physicians will become Cumberland Valley Family Care
• Mercersburg Family Medicine and Tuscarora Family Practice will become Mercersburg Family Care
• Mont Alto Family Practice will become Mont Alto Family Care
• Shady Grove Medical Clinic will become Shady Grove Family Care
• Anesthesia of Franklin County will become Summit Anesthesiology
• Summit Behavioral Health Services will become Summit Behavioral Health
• Center for Dermatology will become Summit Dermatology
• Franklin County ENT and Franklin County Hearing Services will become Summit ENT & Hearing Services
• Potomac Gastroenterology will change to Summit Gastroenterology
• Franklin County Interventional Cardiology will become Summit Interventional Cardiology
• Cumberland Valley Infectious Diseases will become Summit Infectious Diseases
• Occupational Health Associates will become Summit Occupational Health
• Cumberland Valley Orthopaedic Associates will become Summmit Orthopaedics
• Pain Medicine of Franklin County will become Summit Pain Medicine
• South Central Surgical Associates will become Summit Surgical Group - Chambersburg
• Surgical Associates of Waynesboro will become Summit Surgical Group - Waynesboro
• Cumberland Valley Women's Group will become Summit Women's Group - Chambersburg
• Potomac OB/GYN will become Summit Women's Group - Waynesboro
• Valley Medical Group will become Valley Family Care
Showe added that while the names of these practices are changing, their telephone numbers and addresses will stay the same. “This change will be seamless for our patients,” Showe said. “We will continue to provide the high quality care that our neighbors deserve.”
