Shade Gap kidnapping survivor to speak locally

Peggy Ann Bradnick Jackson, survivor of a 1966 Shade Gap kidnapping, will be the guest speaker at the 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21 regular monthly meeting of the Middleburg/Mason-Dixon Line Historical Society at the State Line Ruritan Building.

Bradnick Jackson of Three Springs in Huntingdon County will share her story as the kidnapping survivor of the “incident at Shade Gap, PA - May 11, 1966.”

Her life has been the subject of books, newspaper and magazine articles and the 1991 NBC movie “Cry in the Wild, the Taking of Peggy Ann.” Bradnick Jackson’s after-story relates how this national headline incident was resolved and has influenced her life ever since. She speaks to about 60 groups each year.
