A wrap-up meeting of the Greencastle-Antrim Loyal Daughters executive committee met recently in the home of president Marcie Zimmerman to determine contributions since the Aug. 3, 2010 Triennial meeting. Contributions were directed to the Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library capital campaign, $800; Greencastle Rescue Hose Company restoration of the Seagraves fire truck (used to give children rides during Fire Prevention Week), $300; Allison-Antrim Museum, future project, $200; and Loyal Daughters to replace a memorial tree at Cedar Hill Cemetery, $200.

The committee also appointed Jean Zimmerman as Historian Emeritus. Other officers present at the meeting were Dolly Shoemaker, Debbie Wine, Patti Divelbiss, Donna Wolfe, Marlene Duffey, Cora Crider, Dotti Zimmerman, and newly-elected president Babara Nicarry, who encouraged all to support her in preparation for the next Triennial. A gift was given to outgoing president Marcie Zimmerman, who thanked all for their support during her term, which included two Old Home Weeks. Member Anne Larew was absent.
