The Chambersburg Quilt Guild will hold Quilt Heritage Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 in the Family Life Center of Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, 221 N. Main St.

The event offers attendees to bring vintage quilts (made prior to 1950) to be documented. Quilts made in Franklin County, quilts brought into the county from other locations and quilts made in Franklin County that have migrated out of the county are all eligible for documentation. Quilt owners should bring any available date or stories about the quilts, the quilt maker or the owner(s).

the first quilt documentation project in Franklin County was done in 2005-2006. That work culminated in the publication of Quilt Treasurers of Yesteryear. No additional publications are  planned, but the guild wants to continue documenting the history of quilts in Franklin County and to preserve the legacy that has been given through quilts.
