‘Fashions for Hope’ ticket deadline nears

The third annual "Fashions for Hope" fashion show/dinner will be held Sept. 15 at the Kauffman Ruritan Community Center.

The show is unique in that all 15 models are from the local area and they are all cancer survivors. The clothing for the show will be furnished by Dress Barn, Hagerstown, Md. The models are: from Greencastle, Denise Urban, Donna Gahan, Toby Harvie, Dorcas Eby, June Lehman and Karen Holmes; from Waynesboro, Jill Hess, Brenda Monn, Cheryl Wible; from Hagerstown, Md., Carletta Sauble; from Williamsport, Md., Diane Statler and Stacey Starliper; from Mercersburg, Kim Hongell and Lois Glessner; from State Line, Kate Fiery.

Again featured will be handmade jewelry by Carolyn Tuttle of CT Designs, Hagerstown and Mary Kay representative Michelle Langston will have products available for display. Also at the show will be photographer Bill Stoler and videographers Austin and Bob Stoler to preserve the show's memories.

The meal is provided by the Kauffman Ruritan Club kitchen crew.

Four RFL teams, the Kauffman Ruritan, Greencastle Lioness Club, Salem Church and Jaywalkers teams are again sponsoring this event.  

Tickets for the event are limited to 300 seats, advance sales for $20 per person. This includes the chicken/ham buffet dinner/show. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the basket raffle sales begin at that time. Dinner starts at 6:30 and the show itself begins at 7:30.

All profits from the event go toward the kickoff for the Greencastle RFL 2010 fundraising.  

Tickets are available now at the following locations: in Greencastle, Dodie's Designs, Curves, Graphics Universal and the Chamber of Commerce; in Waynesboro at the Record Herald office; and in Chambersburg at the American Cancer Society office, 384 Floral Avenue. The cutoff for ticket sales is Sept. 7.
