Football will open alumni games Saturday at G-AHS

The fifth annual Greencastle-Antrim alumni flag football game, Greencastle-Antrim Gridiron Greats, will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 24, on Kaley Field.

All former Greencastle-Antrim football players and coaches are invited to play or to come watch.

The public is welcome.

Alumni of other sports will join in the festivities during the second annual Alumni Games, sponsored by G-A MAAX (Maximizing ARts and Athletic X-cellence), a $2.5 million fundraising campaign to repay the district for the money borrowed to upgrade Kaley Field, the north field, the six-lane track and provide new lighting at the stadium.

Field hockey alumni will follow football with a game at 2 p.m. and then soccer plays at 4 p.m. on Kaley Field, and alumni volleyball is served up in the gym at 6. Former G-AHS marching band members will also join in with pep music in the stands during the football contest.

Past athletes or band members are encouraged to participate.

Spectators are encouraged.
