Gallery 7: Regional artists display work

An exhibit of work by regional artists will be on view at Gallery 7, located at 107 E. Baltimore St. through Dec. 19. Paintings, photographs, prints, hand-wovens, pottery and shaker boxes created by 15 area artists will be for sale at the gallery, located directly across the street from the landmark Antrim House Restaurant in downtown Greencastle. 

The opening weekend, Gallery 7 is one of the stops on the Cumberland Valley Crafts Guild Holiday Studio Tour and will be open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.  Gallery 7 will be open each Friday and Saturday; hours are Fridays noon - 8 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Dec. 4 coincides with First Friday Greencastle and will feature an artist or craftsperson demonstrating at the gallery from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. 

Gallery 7 is a non-profit venture sponsored by the Greencastle Area Arts Council, which has been “planting the seeds for creative growth” for more than a quarter of a century.  The space for Gallery 7 has been donated by Charles Strausbaugh,CPA. 

Members of the group include Anne Finucane and Marti Yeager of Chambersburg; Ed and Pat Beard, Eliane Ambrose, Chuck Charpiet, Nathan Nardi, John Meek, Doris Burdick, Ruth Jordan, Alex Miller, Laura Lewis Shindle, John Gamble and Susan Shaffer of Greencastle and Janine Shaffer of  Welsh Run.
