State Rep. Paul Schemel’s next town hall meeting will be in Greencastle and on a hot topic, the Pennsylvania budget.

In an effort to gain a better understanding of where constituents in the 90th District stand on a variety of issues, Schemel (R-Franklin) is once again hosting a series of town hall meetings at various locations in the area during 2016.

“I hosted a number of town hall meetings last year, which were well received,” said Schemel. “We are scheduling more of them this year because they are an effective way to engage in an open dialogue with the people who have sent me to the General Assembly to represent them. I encourage their participation in these upcoming events.”

The topics and schedule of the town hall meetings, which each run from 6:30-7:30 p.m., are as follows:

• Budget Update, Thursday, July 7, Greencastle Borough Hall, 60 N. Washington St., Greencastle.

• School Consolidation, Thursday, Aug. 18, Alexander Hamilton Free Library, 45 E. Main St., Waynesboro.

• Public Employee Pension Reform, Thursday, Sept. 15, Washington Township Board Room, 13013 Welty Road, Waynesboro.

• Homeschool Issues, Thursday, Nov. 17, Blue Ridge Summit Free Library, 13676 Monterey Lane, Blue Ridge Summit.
