Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce sets Lunch and Learn
The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Lunch and Learn opportunity that focuses on investment property opportunities Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Lillian B. Besore Library in the community room.
The featured speaker is Whitney Carpenter, a professional business woman, entrepreneur, mother, and author. She began her career as a waitress for the Waffle House, but with the long-term goal of running her own real estate business. She was able to save enough money while at the Waffle House to invest in her dream and start her company Billwood Properties. She has been involved in buying, selling, managing, and investing in more then 200 homes since 2009. Whitney shares her expertise in the real estate field in the form of her first book, The Passive Way to Passive Income, A Guide to Turn Key Real Estate Investments. The book shares Carpenter’s career experience and passion. Captured through a narrative exploration of her journey to success, Carpenter gives insight on how networking and hard work helped boost her comprehension and love for the business. The book details how to procure capital, loans, and find the best properties to renovate while staying within budget. Carpenter empowers potential real estate investors to make wise purchases and enjoy the process. In her spare time, Carpenter enjoys public speaking, spending time with her family, and networking.
The program begins at noon and is free to attend, but lunch is available for $5.
