Drake Orthodontics is now open for business in downtown Greencastle. The business, whose original location is still in Chambersburg, was established in 1977. A father and son team, Dr. David Drake and Dr. Ethan Drake, who both received bachelors degrees and DMD degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, run the practice.

In addition to the Chambersburg office, the two also have an office located in Shippensburg. Dr. Ethan Drake said, “We felt we could help the Greencastle community by opening a satellite office here. It is much more convenient and saves a lot of time for busy parents who have to drive their children to and from their orthodontic appointments,” noting that the nearest orthodontists are located in Hagerstown, Waynesboro, or Chambersburg.

Currently the Greencastle office will be open every other Thursday until there is a greater demand.

The Greencastle office has three patient treatment chairs, one of which is in a private treatment room, and room for a fourth.

Drake Orthodontics offers a variety of services, which include but are not limited to: clear braces, traditional metal braces, lingual braces, ceramic braces, and retainers.

Dr. Ethan Drake pointed out that no one is ever considered “too old” to have braces. In fact, the percentage of adults receiving orthodontic care has increased by 40 percent in the past decade.

Drake Orthodontics is located at 14B S. Carlisle St., Greencastle.
