Members of the Testerman family were very excited to take the top prize of the Light It Up contest in Red Oak Estates. In front, Amya, 8, and Lexi, 12, and in the back, from left, Hollie, Skylar, 14, and Justin, said they normally decorate their home at 144 Field View Drive for Christmas, but added a few extras for the contest.

Congratulations to the eight homeowners who won this year's 'Light It Up' contest sponsored by Ted Mercado of State Farm and Lumber Direct of Greencastle. Baltimore Street, Washington Street, Red Oak Estates and Moss Spring Avenue were included in this year's contest, as these neighborhoods are part of the traditional Horse and Buggy rides that occur during the Heritage Christmas event, sponsored by the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce. The homes were judged on the amount of lights used, the creative way decorations were displayed, the work it took to decorate the homes and the overall effect. "It was incredibly hard to judge the winners this year," said committee member Robin Rock."Everyone really stepped it up this year," agreed Sandra-Fink Freeman.

The winners are:

Moss Springs — 1. 366 Moss Spring Ave.; 2. 515 Brookview Drive.

Red Oak Estates — 1. 144 Field View Drive; 2. 519 Scarlet Circle.

Baltimore Street — 1. 413 E. Baltimore St.; 2. 429 E. Baltimore St.

Washington Street — 1. 155 S. Washington St.; 2. 61 S. Washington St.

Thanks to everyone who participated and Merry Christmas!
