Disguised man displays weapon during Corning Credit Union robbery Friday in Greencastle
A man wearing a disguise and brandishing a weapon robbed a Greencastle area bank just before noon Friday.
Pennsylvania State Police are looking for the man who robbed the Corning Credit Union branch at 677 S. Antrim Way, Greencastle, around 11:55 a.m. He displayed a weapon, however no injuries were reported by authorities.
Despite regular Friday hours for closing at 5:30 p.m., the branch was found at 3:30 p.m. with a sign on the doors saying it was temporarily closed.
Police did not indicate what kind of weapon was used in the crime, but said the man displayed the weapon and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. He left in a tan or light brown late model Chevrolet Blazer going south on U.S 11.
The suspect is described as 6 feet to 6-2 tall and weighing 250 to 300 pounds. At the time of the robbery is was wearing an orange short-sleeved shirt with a white long-sleeved shirt underneath. He had dark pants on that were possibly sweat pants and was wearing work boots.
State police said the Greencastle Police Department assisted at the scene, that lies just south of the Greencastle Borough/Antrim Township municipal line.
