The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2014 James P. Oliver Award recognizing community service.

The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014.

Forms are available through the chamber office at 217 E. Baltimore St., or by calling 597-4610.  The chamber has a listing of past recipients available.

Since 1992, the chamber has presented this award to honor business associates, who through their company, contributed personal time and service beyond normal community service. A business owner, manager, or the recognized face that promotes and provides the extraordinary service to the community is eligible. The business must be physically located in the Greencastle-Antrim area.

“This is a prestigious award because it provides special recognition to a person, or couple, that exemplifies the unique and special qualities exhibited by James P. Oliver,” said chamber executive director Joel Fridgen.

“We are indeed fortunate to have such people in our community that deserve recognition.”

The award will be presented at the chamber banquet Thursday, Sept. 18.
