Early morning commuters and other drivers on U.S. 11 in the vicinity of Interstate 81 Exit 3 in Antrim Township are advised they will likely encounter a paving operation on Thursday, Oct. 31, that starts at 7 a.m. and continues all day. Motorists will be assisted through the paving operation by flaggers.

Until now, the paving work has been limited to the hours between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. so as not to interfere with the busy commuting hours. But as the paving deadline approaches with the end of October for the construction work underway in this area for a highway occupancy permit, the contractor has been granted an earlier start by PennDOT in order to complete the paving work.

Motorists are advised to allow additional time in their travel plans or seek alternate routes in order to avoid delays.
