Three Harrisburg area residents recently tried to sell stolen goats at the Greencastle Livestock Auction, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said the trio stole five goats from a Dry Run resident and tried to sell them at local auction house. Eric Tyler Rosche, 20, Middletown; Samantha Rae Scott, 18, Highspire; and a 17-year-old Highspire boy allegedly took the animals at 4 a.m. Sept. 13 from 20727 Doylestown Road.

Police arrested the suspects at the auction after the victim identified his goats.

The suspects confessed to stealing the livestock, police reported.
