Todd Rock’s offices are more accessible

To better serve the public, Rep. Todd Rock recently moved his two offices in the 90th Legislative District. The offices in Greencastle and Waynesboro were recently relocated.

“They are now both in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and they are modern facilities,” said Rock.

Constituents seeking information or assistance in Greencastle will find Rock, or his District Constituent Outreach Specialist Deb Daugherty, at 39 Chambers Lane, Suite 102.  The new address in Waynesboro is 20 E. Sixth St., Suite 203.

Previously, the offices were on South Carlisle Street and East Main Street, respectively. The rented space was in older buildings with steps to the entrance.

“We searched for six weeks in both towns,” said Rock. “It’s hard to find ADA-compliant sites. We wanted to stay in the boroughs.”

He pointed out other benefits to the new Greencastle locale. No one had to pay to park, and the Greencastle Tax Bureau was in the same mini-strip mall.

The new sites also fit in with the Republican Caucus initiative to trim expenses. It encouraged retirements to reduce staffing costs, and shortened the office hours.

Shirley Shatzer retired, after working alongside Daugherty for six years.

“They were the perfect team,” Rock said.

Daugherty will be in the office Mondays through Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., one day less than in the past.
