Tuscarora Mountain Winery holds ribbon cutting

The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce joined Tuscarora Mountain Winery March 25 for a ribbon cutting at the 21 E. Baltimore St. location. Locally owned and operated by Ken and Sue Hadley, Tuscarora Mountain Winery is the first winery of Franklin County. The winery first opened business in October of 2009 with its winery and store location at 25 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg. They recently expanded with the opening of their second store in Greencastle. The winery features over 23 wine varieties, all made by the owner/vintner, Ken Hadley. Tuscarora Mountain winery offers many award winning varieties such as: “1864-The Burning of Chambersburg”, “Sauvignon Blanc”, “Rifle Man Red”, “Peach Cobbler”, “Blackberry.” Hadley grows many of his grapes and fruits himself. As a believer in Franklin County, he acquires many of the remaining ingredients from local accomplished growers and farmers. Tuscarora Mountain winery offers free wine tasting daily. The Greencastle store is open noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday - Thursday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Wine tasting events are also available at off site locations upon request. The also offer custom labeling and have the Greencastle store available for private parties.
