It’s a red, white and Greencastle First Friday
On July 2 from 5 to 8 p.m., First Friday can kickoff the holiday weekend celebration. First Friday is embracing the patriotic theme and a festive event of food, music, shopping and fun is planned.
Music will be in the air courtesy of DJ Ryan Stahl of RS Entertainment, and barbeque is on the menu.
The Antrim House is featuring a barbeque buffet in the banquet room to complement the Roy Pitz Brewery beer tasting occurring at the same location.
For its first appearance at First Friday, Mason Dixon BBQ will feature a barbeque tasting on the square to showcase their grill sauces and rubs. And for dessert, Mikie's Ice Cream returns to the square.
As a special tribute, State Representative Todd Rock has donated a U.S. flag that has flown atop the state capitol building. The flag will be given away to one lucky patron in a drawing held that night. The flag will be displayed at the Fran Kenawell State Farm Agency on the square until it goes home with the winner.
In addition to the many talented artists that take part in First Friday, merchants have much in store.
Inner Beauty has a new inventory of Cactus T-shirts with patriotic, wine, and pet motifs. The women's specialty clothing shop is also introducing a new line of jewelry called It's a Deusey and other items to complement the T-shirts.
