Barbecue supply store sets opening

The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3 for Mason-Dixon BBQ Services located at 1542B Buchanan Trail East in the village of Shady Grove.  A Grand Opening will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Owner Eric Forrester, stated “the grand opening activities include professional BBQ teams doing demonstrations and handing out food samples.”  There will be balloons and face painting.  Items throughout the store will be discounted as part of the grand opening celebration.  A dad's Easter basket will also be available for purchase.

Mason-Dixon is a barbecue supply store. It sells and rents commercial BBQ equipment for church gatherings, large groups, charity events and fundraisers.  It also rents out portable LP fryers and sink units. The business carries the Big Green Egg line of home cookers and smokers.

It also has a myriad of BBQ accessories and carries sauces and spices used by competitive teams on the KCBS barbecue circuit. The company is also a distributor for Royal Oak hardwood charcoal briquettes and lump charcoal.

Future plans include offering opportunities for people to enroll in a BBQ boot camp to learn more about the art of barbecue cooking through using various sauces and spices and their equipment.
