MCCONELLSBURG – The Greencastle-Antrim boys' and girls' basketball teams earned wins over McConnellsburg in a non-league doubleheader on Saturday.
The Blue Devil boys rolled to a 68-41 victory while the G-A girls edged McConnellsburg, 39-34.
Thomas Lewis paced Greencastle in the boys' game by netting 20 points, including four 3-pointers.
Adam Murr followed with 16 points while Riley Gembe contributed nine points in the win.
G-A (2-8) led 28-15 at halftime before pulling away over the closing two quarters.
"This is a nice win after an emotional game last night," Greencastle coach Rick Lewis said regarding a close loss to Waynesboro on Friday. "We're moving in the right direction."
In the girls' contest, Sayge Wilhide continued her sensational play by scoring a team-high 14 points for G-A.
McKenna Rakaczewski added nine points and seven rebounds while Lauren Pool finished with nine points for the Blue Devils, who improved to 8-2 overall.
The Greencastle girls return to action Monday at Everett with the Blue Devil boys traveling to Gettysburg for a rescheduled game on Wednesday.
