Mr. Paul S. Ebersole, Sr., 85, of Rouzerville, PA, passed away Monday evening, November 14, 2022, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 16, 1937 in Mont Alto, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel and Jane (Wilson) Ebersole.
Mr. Ebersole was a graduate of Quincy High School and later served in the United States Navy from 1955 until 1959.
He and his wife, the late Sherry L. (Toms) Ebersole, were married December 22, 1960 in Hagerstown, MD. Mrs. Ebersole died on February 3, 2015.
In his early life, Mr. Ebersole worked as a farmer. He later worked as a machinist at Landis Tool Company, Waynesboro. He retired in 2000 after more than 40 years of service with the company.
He was a member of Otterbein Church, William Max McLaughlin V.F.W. Post #695 and Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, all of Waynesboro. He was also a member of the Rouzerville Fish and Game and the Waynesboro Fish and Game.
Mr. Ebersole enjoyed hunting with his family at Snyder’s Hollow and morel mushroom hunting with his family in the spring. He also enjoyed Philadelphia Eagles Football, watching wrestling and spending time with his wife and family.
He is survived by four children, Joyce Fridinger and her husband, Randy of Rouzerville, Paula Wishard of Waynesboro, Tammy Kennedy and her husband, Kevin of Fayetteville and Sam Ebersole and his wife, Tracy, of Rouzerville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Susie McCardell of Mercersburg, PA and Patsy Collins of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 18, 2022 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor John Hoffman and Pastor Dave Besecker officiating. Burial will follow in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Rouzerville, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Friday afternoon, in the funeral home.
