Betty C. Sterner

Betty C. Sterner, age 77, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Chambers Pointe Personal Care Center. Born August 14, 1945, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clyde W. and Viola C. Wetsel Myers.

Mrs. Sterner was a 1964 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. She worked as a secretary in the medical field for 49 years, retiring in 2012. She was a lifelong member of Macedonia United Brethren Church of Greencastle, PA. Betty enjoyed collecting cookbooks.

Betty is survived by her husband, Richard C. Sterner, whom she married on July 2, 1971, and her aunt, Ruth Baumbaugh.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Pastors Brian Black and Gayle Ruble will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
