Francis X. Phillips of Bensalem passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, at Warminster Hospice after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82. Born in Philadelphia, and raised in Croydon, he lived in Bensalem for more than 60 years. Francis attended Delhaas High School in Bristol Township, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a Stationary Engineer at Bucks County Community College for 18 years, retiring in 2000. Francis also was a trustee at Bensalem United Methodist Church. Francis enjoyed camping and fishing. He also was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was the beloved husband of Arlene M. (Shaw) Phillips for 59 years; devoted father of John F. Phillips of Bensalem, and Sharon M. Schluth (Chris) of Southampton; brother of Walter Phillips (Marilyn) of Penndel, and Dolores Parker of Croydon; loving grandfather of Nicholas and Jamie Schluth; and also is survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Fluehr Funeral Home, 864 Bristol Pike (Route 13), Bensalem, PA 19020. His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Alice Ann Bonham of Bensalem United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001. There is no viewing Monday evening.
