Lavilla Jane "Toots" Bonzo of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of North Sewickley Twp., died in Tucson on January 6, 2019. She was born near New Brighton on a farm in Beaver County on November 28, 1930. Toots was an industrial nurse and worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and Armstrong Cork. She and her husband had a horse farm for many years. She loved animals and had several Pomeranian dogs. Toots was predeceased by her parents, Alvah F. McDanel and Kathryn E. Clark McDanel; her brother, Gale G. McDanel; her sister, Evelyn L. Youngberg; her brother, Alvah F. "Pete" McDanel, Jr., and her husband, James C. Bonzo. Toots is survived by her nieces, Pamela A. Youngberg and her husband, Lester L. Galbraith of Tucson, Ariz. and Janise M. and her husband, Scott A. Shaffer of New Sewickley Twp. She is also survived by her grand-nephew, Michael L. Shreve and his wife, Kathleen N.; a great-grand-nephew, Nathan P. Shreve, and her sister-in-law, Fay M. McDanel, all of North Sewickley Twp. Interment will be at Concord Church Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
